Hi, I am Dr. Leah or as many kiddos call me, just Leah because sometimes using the word Doctor can be scary!
At Vive our goal is to meet your family where you are at along your health journey and increase your adaptability to stressors; physical, chemical, and emotional; all with support and love. No matter where you are in life right now things can get better, be better, and stay better. We are ever changing beings and we all need a little help along the way.
I grew up in Jefferson, IA and my parents still live in the same house they brought me home to. I feel very fortunate to have such supportive and caring parents. I have two older siblings; a brother and a sister whom have blessed me with 4 nephews. I also have a niece and a nephew I get to love on from my husband’s side of the family. I am married to a farmer and the hardest working man I know. We have a son named Brooks whom lights up our life and wears us out!
Looking back at my childhood, my parents and I often talk about how beneficial Chiropractic would have been to me. As a baby, I was super colicky. My parents joke that “it was like I went home with the wrong family”. As a toddler I had numerous falls – one of them actually put a dent in my forehead. As a child I suffered with minor sensory issues, my socks HAD to be put on perfect or I would have to redo it until it felt right. I also suffered from nail biting, focus, allergies, asthma, sleep difficulty, anxiety, chronic ear infections, immune challenges, and constipation.
Like most people, I first went to the Chiropractor for some pain I was having during sports. Having now been under Chiropractic care for 13 years I can now say I am no longer struggling with so many of those issues I once was. I will be the first to admit however if I miss my weekly adjustment my asthma is the first thing that comes creeping back in. It is the WORST.
My vision for our community is to see every baby, child, teen, and adult in our surrounding communities thrive and live the healthiest life possible. The means to help ease all of the above stressful, preventable issues that I and so many of our kiddos are dealing with. Or better yet, what if they never even began at all! How Chiropractic influences the nervous system is unparalleled. My passion and love for Chiropractic grows with every win and celebration that I share with our Vive Family (and man have we had some AMAZING wins).
I cannot wait to watch your family and mine thrive within Greene County and the surrounding areas. I am filled with gratitude and hope for the community and family that we are creating within these walls at Vive. Thank you for helping make my dreams come true.
I am blessed to have been married to my wonderful husband for 46 years! We are both retired teachers and taught at the opposite ends of the age pendulum. I truly believe that God gave me each of my three children, one being Dr. Leah! And, if you have time, I’d be happy to tell you about my 5 adorable grandsons!
What a privilege it has been to work with my daughter and watch and learn from her. As she said in her bio, she had some issues with colic, allergies, asthma, and sensory issues as a child. Now I see how beneficial chiropractic care would have been throughout her life. One by one, we all followed in Dr. Leah’s footsteps and began chiropractic care.
My greatest issues involved sinus infections and lower back pain. Maintaining consistent chiropractic care has decreased these problems dramatically! I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a sinus infection.
